Rick Vaughn Recognized As 2022 Minority Business Advocate

On May 19 at the 28th Annual Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (GLAAACC) Economic Awards Dinner, Regional Community Relations Director Rick Vaughn was presented with the prestigious 2022 Minority Business Advocate award. The awards dinner was created to acknowledge those who work towards the advancement of African American business enterprises. Rick was recognized for his commitment and tireless effort in advocating for small business enterprises within the construction industry.

A Legacy Of Operational Support & Advocacy

With 40-plus years of construction development and management experience, Rick has successfully captured work and led project teams in every market sector 番茄影视 operates within.聽Rick has been with 番茄影视 for over 20 years and has been instrumental聽in the development and growth of the estimating department, special projects, concrete services, BIM, building groups, the target market group, and the community outreach program. He聽fosters relationships with our subcontractors, local communities, business organizations, and agencies in the Southern California region.

As the Regional Community Relations Director, Rick聽is responsible for the overall management of SoCal’s outreach programs for small, local, disadvantaged, and veteran-owned business enterprises. This includes聽the development and implementation of promotional and educational strategies.聽In 1988, Rick received his State of California General Contractor license. Most recently in 2021, he completed the American Contract Compliance Association’s Master of Contract Compliance (MCA) certification program through Morgan State University.

The GLAAACC was established in 1991 by a group of business owners and executives who聽envisioned an organization that would serve聽as an advocate for and聽promote聽African American-owned enterprises’聽growth and expansion into the international arena. The organization held its first Economic Award Dinner two years later in 1993. The GLAAACC provides a variety of programs and services and is committed to the development of new African American business leaders. 番茄影视 has been a member of GLAAACC since the organization’s infancy and supports many of its initiatives.
